Justin began his life practice in exercise and fitness in 1979 when he trained as a competitive swimmer. In 1983 he took up boxing and martial arts, a path he remained on for 22 years. He also played soccer and hurling competitively in high school. From 1996 to 2001 Justin attended the Irish College of Classical Osteopathy. In 2001 he began to study corrective exercise and High Performance Strength and Conditioning. Justin moved from Dublin to Toronto in 2005 to attend the National Coaching Institute where he completed his NCCP Level 4 High Performance Coaching Certifications. During his time with the National Coaching Institute, Justin worked as the Head Strength and Conditioning coach for the Athletics (Track & Field) as well as the Mens Volleyball program at the University of Toronto. Recognized for his work and success with the athletes in this program, Justin was given a position as strength and conditioning coach with the High Performance Units of the Canadian Sports Science Institute where he worked with International, National and Provincial athletes. Trained as an osteopath, Justin went on to gain knowledge in Functional Medicine and Advanced Metabolic Typing. He also earned certificates in Functional Diagnostic Nutrition, Holistic Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching, Strength & Conditioning Coaching, Pre and Post Operative Care. High Performance and Specializied Corrective Exercise Training certificates from the CHEK institute, Tudor Bompa Institute of Periodization and fitness planning, as well as NCCP Level 3 Olympic Weightlifting specialists through an internship with Pierre Roy.
During the 11 years after graduating from the Irish College of Classical Osteopathy in 2001, Justin has acted as Director of Personal Training at the Cambridge Club in Toronto, he’s worked as an Osteopath, High Performance Strength and Conditioning Specialist, a Corrective Exercise Specialist, as well as a strength and conditioning coach for various Canadian national teams including Track & Field, Squash, and Basketball, and with several Canadian National team athletes at the University of Toronto and through the Canadian Sport Science Institute.
Justin's Areas of Specialization
Justin specializes in the training and management of functional nutrition and exercise programs. Justin combines his clinical skills as an Osteopath with his knowledge of exercise, functional medicine and nutrition. His training and expertise allows him to tailor all exercise and nutrition programs according to an individual's specific needs. Justin also has experience working with people who have specific medical concerns/diagnosis and is able to create exercise and/or nutritional programs to compliment one's current health care regime.

Justin has 15 years experience in creating functional training and nutrition plans to help people achieve their ideal body composition. Justin uses his experience and knowledge to find out what will work and how to make any program fit an individual's needs.
· High Performance Strength & Conditioning
Justin has worked with some of Canada's top athletes and teams to help them achieve their goals within the international, amateur and professional stages. Justin completed his NCCP Level 4 training with the National Coaching Institute in Athletics (Track & Field). His reason for choosing athletics was that he would have the opportunity to work specifically with athletes who specialize in the disciplines of running, jumping and throwing; these are considered core abilities in every amateur or professional sport. This is one of the reasons Justin has been so successful when working with the variety of sports and athletes that he has had the privilege to work with.
· Pre & Post Operative Care
Justin's 11 years of clinical experience have helped him to become very successful in dealing with pre and post-operative care. Getting ready for an operation can be just as important as the post-operative rehabilitation. Justin has worked with many amateur and professional athletes who have had to prepare for or recover from orthopedic operations.
